Duties Manage and maintain court records, including filing, indexing, and retrieving legal documents with precision and confidentiality. Assist judges, attorneys, defendants, and the public by providing clear information about court procedures and case statuses. Conduct legal research related to procedural law to support court operations and ensure compliance with legal standards. Prepare legal documents such as summonses, warrants, subpoenas, and other court-related paperwork using proper legal terminology and formatting. Enter data accurately into case management systems while ensuring all information is up-to-date and secure. Schedule court hearings, appointments, and maintain calendars for judicial proceedings. Handle cash transactions related to fines or fees with accuracy and integrity while maintaining detailed records. Support courtroom procedures by coordinating with court personnel and ensuring all materials are organized and ready for hearings. Skills Fluency in Spanish is a requirement. Strong research skills with the ability to interpret procedural law and legal terminology effectively. Paralegal experience or background in litigation enhances understanding of legal processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for document creation, data entry, and record keeping. Extensive office experience combined with legal administrative expertise ensures efficient workflow management. Excellent clerical skills including filing, data entry, typing speed, and document processing. Proven customer service abilities to assist the public courteously while handling confidential information discreetly. Knowledge of court procedures, legal case management systems, and courtroom protocol is highly desirable.
