Planner II

Planner II City of Rock Hill, Rock Hill, SC, United States Essential Job Functions Conduct research and analysis for long‑range planning and assist in authoring plans including the City’s Comprehensive Plan, small‑area and corridor plans, and other special long‑range studies. Assist with obtaining public input into long‑range plans through surveys, workshops, and other engagement strategies. Assist with the implementation of long‑range plans. Review and recommend annexation requests and strategies; prepare annexation analyses and studies; create maps, materials, and presentations for meetings and reports. Assist the Zoning Division with evaluating whether rezoning requests meet adopted long‑range planning policies and recommendations. Attend training classes concerning customer service, long‑range planning, community engagement, annexation, computer software, and related topics to learn new standards, processes, and systems; maintain continuing‑education credits as needed for optional certifications. Perform all other duties as assigned to meet organizational needs.
