Job Description

This role supports multiple departments within a manufacturing plant by operating equipment, assembling products, performing visual inspections, and packaging items for shipment. You will help maintain production goals set by supervisors while following safety and quality standards. The position involves cross-training across different areas of the facility and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for the entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
• Perform general production and general labor tasks as assigned across different departments.
• Assemble components on an assembly line to meet production and quality standards.
• Package finished products accurately and securely for shipment.
• Conduct visual quality inspections to identify defects and ensure products meet specifications.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production issues, quality concerns, and equipment needs.
• Adapt to changes in work assignments, schedules, and department needs as required.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift in a production environment.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
• Willingness to cross-train and work in different departments as needed.
• Flexibility to work various shifts in line with plant requirements.

Work Environment

Current openings are on second shift, working 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, on an 8-hour schedule. Team members work on their feet for the entire shift and handle materials that can weigh up to 50 pounds. The facility operates with standard industrial safety practices, production machinery, hand tools, and measuring equipment. Flexibility with work schedules is important, as employees may be reassigned or bumped to different shifts based on operational needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN 37207.

The pay range for this position is $19.14 - $19.14/hr.
