Administrative Specialist I (S) Job ID: 60062908 Grade: NC08 Location: Craven Correctional Institution, Vanceboro, NC, Craven County Responsibilities Prepare interview packages and schedule new hire interviews; complete and submit approval packages for all stages of the hiring process for vacant positions, and organize position history files. Run employee background checks and obtain DCI certification. Serve as facility benefits representative and conduct all new hire benefit orientations. Set up and maintain employee records, compose correspondence, and assist with the weekly collection and entry of employee timesheets in the SAP Payroll System. Assist the HR Technician with processing workers' compensation, FMLA, ADA, leave of absence and shared leave packages in accordance with HR policies. Qualifications Meet minimum educational and experience requirements specified in the vacancy announcement. Preferred: documented knowledge of clerical/secretarial skills. Preferred: documented knowledge of office machines. Preferred: documented knowledge of Microsoft Office.
