Work as part of a culinary team in a fast-paced environment where quality and standards exceed guest expectations./ph3Primary Duties And Responsibilities/h3ulliPromotes superior guest service./liliMaintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tlcn and the Core Values of ilani./liliQuick and quality execution of cooking duties./liliPrepare and assign production and prep work for line cooks./liliAssists as necessary the preparing of ingredients beforehand, cleaning foodstuffs, chopping, slicing, portioning./liliActs as intermediary between leadership and front-line employees./liliAssist in daily line checks to monitor quality and ensure compliance of health standards. Train and mentor line cooks in proper preparation and food safety techniques/liliMonitor food waste to control cost of goods./liliAssure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes by following menu and presentation standards as directed by the Executive Chef and Room Chef./liliEnsure compliance with all health and safety standards./liliEnsure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes by following menu and presentation standards as directed by the Room Chef and Sous Chefs./liliMonitor stock of the kitchen and report to Room Chef or Sous Chef when stock runs low./liliClean all kitchen equipment before and after use./liliMaintain overall cleanliness of kitchen./liliCook dishes under the supervision of the Room Chef and Sous Chef./liliProactively communicate with all kitchen staff./liliMaintains confidentiality of sensitive information./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./li/ulh3Minimum Qualifications/h3ulliHigh School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD)./liliTwo (2) years experience as a line cook in a high-volume, multi-million-dollar outlet./liliMust possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment./liliStrong attention to detail and proven ability to multitask./liliExpert level knowledge of kitchen tools, utensils, and stations (prep, gill, saut etc.) required in order to perform the specific tasks./liliMust work well under pressure and possess excellent communication and learning skills./liliMust perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate to maximum strength including standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, repetitive hand and arm motions, and handling of materials./liliMust be able to work a business driven, flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends./liliMust be able to lift and carry 50 lbs./liliMust possess a valid food service card./liliMust be willing to work in a smoking environment./liliMust be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures./li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulliCulinary school certificate preferred./li/ulh3Work Shift/h3pWages:/ppThis role offers a starting wage of $21.00 per hour.
