Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Role Overview Provides direct patient care within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. Functions as a generalist with a focus on developing a clinical specialty, supervising rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students. Manages a caseload that may include adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients. Functions as a generalist with a focus on developing a clinical specialty, supervising rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students. Manages a caseload that may include adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients. Key Responsibilities Implements and adjusts treatment plans based on current practices, documents progress, and ensures appropriate follow-up post-discharge. Performs patient evaluations, re-evaluations, goal setting, and discharge planning, documenting findings and sharing with relevant team members. Provides a positive learning environment for observers, volunteers, students, and staff, supporting ongoing education and skill development. Maintains departmental productivity standards, proactively manages patient needs, and ensures timely documentation. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. Licensed in Georgia and certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS Instructor. Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient care skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team, adapt to diverse patient needs, and support educational initiatives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
