Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Telemetry (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Onsite | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families.
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems while demonstrating cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the patient population served.
• Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and respond appropriately to cardiac changes.
• Float to other units or departments up to competency level based on organizational needs.
• Maintain intensive, continuous mental effort to ensure safe patient care and sound clinical judgment.

Required Qualifications

• Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start date.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Must successfully pass a telemetry competency exam, including identification and measurement of telemetry rhythm strips.
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or trauma-level acute care environment.
• Familiarity with caring for complex cardiac or medical-surgical patient populations.
