Level II Trauma | 47K Annual ED Volume | 33 Hours of Daily NP/PA Coverage

Rhino Medical is seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum tenens coverage in Bristol, Tennessee . This is a high-volume Emergency Medicine opportunity within a Level II Trauma Center , offering substantial daily physician coverage, an established NP/PA team, and Epic EMR.

For an NP or PA who wants meaningful Emergency Medicine exposure without practicing in isolation, the coverage model is a major advantage: the department supports 38 physician hours and 33 NP/PA hours every day .

Emergency Department

• Approximately 47,000 annual ED visits
• Level II Trauma Center
• 342-bed hospital
• 38 physician coverage hours daily
• 33 NP/PA coverage hours daily
• Epic EMR
• Collaborative Emergency Medicine practice environment

Nurse Practitioner Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Active, unrestricted Tennessee RN license
• Active Tennessee Nurse Practitioner license
• Active DEA registration with Tennessee address
• Prescriptive authority
• Active AANP or ANCC certification
• ACLS
• ATLS
• PALS

Physician Assistant Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Active, unrestricted Tennessee PA license
• Active DEA registration with Tennessee address
• Active NCCPA certification
• ACLS
• ATLS
• PALS

Experience

• Two years of recent Emergency Medicine or related acute-care experience preferred
• New graduates may be considered based on departmental needs
