If you are passionate about making a difference and want to work in a place where your contributions are truly valued, Exceed is the perfect place for you.Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide direct care, training, and supervision to residents.Assist residents with individual living skills and daily needs.Implement the activities schedule and support residents with chores and scheduled activities.Assist with meal preparation and properly dispense medications.Implement training methods to help residents achieve Individual Program Plan (IPP) objectives.Document client progress on objectives and report any significant issues or occurrences.Complete and submit incident reports as required.Participate in the inter-disciplinary team process as needed.Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and orderly facility.Qualifications, Education, and ExperienceMust be 21 years or older.Department of Justice fingerprint clearance.Health Screening and TB Test clearance.Current First Aid Certification.CPR Certification (must be obtained before starting employment).Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.State-required minimum automobile insurance.Ability to read, understand, and comply with Welfare Codes Title 22, Title 17, and Regional Center regulations.A good role model for residents.High school diploma or equivalent.Experience supervising or working with adults with special needs.Physical AbilitiesAbility to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.Dexterity to assist with recording client data and completing reports.Ability to lift 50 pounds, with sufficient balance and coordination to carry objects safely.Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed for training or retrieving stored material.Good hearing and vision to monitor client activities, provide training, and perform other duties.Good general health and mobility.Mental AbilitiesAbility to understand and follow instructions.Ability to communicate effectively with low-functioning residents and supervisors.Basic math skills to complete client records, reports, and time cards.Writing skills to complete reports and client ID Notes.Observant and flexible, with the judgment necessary to make decisions regarding service quality and safety.Reporting RelationshipReports to the Program Administrator.SupervisesAssigned clients.Position ClassificationNon-Exempt.ScheduleFlexible.Salary$18.74 - $19.68 per hour.
