Information Assurance Analyst

Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise cybersecurity architectures supporting JIATF South’s operational networks, mission systems, sensors, and D&M platforms. Lead Information Assurance activities ensuring compliance with DoD, DON, RMF, NIST, and JIATF South security policies, directives, and accreditation requirements. Oversee the integration of security controls into system designs, modernization efforts, and technology refresh cycles. Evaluate emerging technologies and defensive capabilities to strengthen JIATF South’s cyber posture and support mission resiliency. Prepare and maintain RMF artifacts, including System Security Plans, Security Assessment Reports, POA&Ms, and continuous monitoring documentation. Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and cybersecurity impact analyses for new systems, upgrades, or mission changes. Collaborate with system engineers, intelligence teams, operational units, partner nations, and interagency stakeholders to ensure cyber requirements align with real-time mission needs. Investigate IA-related incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and advise leadership on remediation strategies and long-term architectural improvements. Ensure cybersecurity engineering principles are embedded in network design, cloud adoption strategies, and data flow configurations supporting D&M operations. Guide the deployment and tuning of cybersecurity tools such as ACAS, HBSS/ESS, endpoint protection suites, SIEM platforms, and network defense sensors.
