Level 2 - Network Engineer

Hiring: Level 2 Network Engineer Louisville, KY (Onsite) We are looking for an experienced Level 2 Network Engineer to join a 12-month Network Refresh Program supporting the replacement and modernization of Cisco-based network infrastructure. Location: Louisville, KY (Onsite 5 days/week with local travel) Duration: 12 months Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and replace Cisco routers, switches, and wireless access points Execute pre‑staging, provisioning, cutover, and post‑install validation Perform Layer 1 and Layer 3 troubleshooting during and after deployments Support network refresh, migration, and lifecycle upgrade projects Work in MDF/IDF environments, including rack‑and‑stack, cabling, and labeling Document network changes and collaborate with project and engineering teams Required Skills 3‑6 years of hands‑on Network Engineering experience Strong Cisco Routing & Switching expertise (Catalyst, ISR/ASR) Experience with VLANs, STP, OSPF, EIGRP, and WAN connectivity Cisco Wireless Access Point deployment experience Experience with network refresh, rollout, or migration projects Ability to read network diagrams and implementation runbooks Strong troubleshooting skills across Layer 1 and Layer 3 Valid CCIE certification is mandatory Preferred Skills CCNA or equivalent Cisco certification Experience in utility, energy, or regulated environments Knowledge of structured cabling, MDF/IDF, and data center environments Experience with ticketing and documentation tools #J-18808-Ljbffr Cliff Services Inc
