Production PlannerPosition Location: Uxbridge, MAPosition Type/Schedule: Onsite Monday – Friday 7:30AM – 4:30PMCompensation: $75,000 - $90,000 (Compensation depends on skills, knowledge, education, and experience)Position Snapshot: The Production Planner plays a pivotal role in coordinating and optimizing production workflows to meet the combined demands of safety stock, forecasting, and customer orders. This position ensures a responsive and customer-focused approach to service inquiries while driving on-time delivery, production efficiency, and inventory accuracy.About you: You're a proactive, detail-driven planner who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You take ownership of your work, react quickly to shifting priorities, and bring a strong sense of urgency to everything you do. You thrive on balancing forecasts, inventory, and customer demand to build schedules that make sense and deliver results.A day in the life:Production Scheduling:· Manage and adjust production schedules across multiple product lines to meet demand, material availability and labor capacity.· Review daily output, determine bottlenecks, and evaluate inventory levels to maintain efficient operations.· Monitor on-time delivery performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Cross-Functional Collaboration:· Partner with Order Management and Manufacturing teams to align production goals and resolve scheduling conflicts.· Notify internal teams of updated shipping schedules and any modifications to lead times.· Participate in daily and monthly production meetings to address issues such as material shortages, equipment downtime, and resource constraints.Order & Inventory Management:· Investigate missed shipments, identify root causes and work with teams to prevent future delays.· Analyze planning parameters to balance delivery timelines, production efficiency and inventory levels.· Lead order-related communications and activities for customer accounts.Process Improvement & Change Management:· Oversee implementation of Engineering Change Notices.· Recommend adjustments to product lead time based on scheduling constraints.· Identify opportunities to strengthen internal customer relationships and improve service levels.Team Support & Reporting:· Participate in cross-training to support other Supply Chain roles as needed.· Complete reporting tasks and other duties as assigned.Requirements:What you will need:2+ years of Supply Chain/Production planning experience in a manufacturing environmentExtensive working knowledge MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) systems required, SAP preferredWorking knowledge of Bill-of-Material and Production routings preferredIntermediate MS-Office experience required, advanced experience preferredExcellent oral and written communication skillsHigh level of proactive and organized work habitsAnalytical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to draw conclusions from dataExhibit a strong spirit of collaboration across various teams and departmentsAbility to think and operate independentlyPerks of being part of our team:Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical Insurance – multiple plan optionsBlue Cross Blue Shield Dental InsuranceFSA, HSA optionsVision Insurance401k with company match, fully vestedPaid Time Off10 company paid holidaysCompany paid disability & AD&D insurance100% paid parental leave after one year of serviceSupplemental insurance plans (Identity theft, cyber protection, additional life, etc.)Tuition reimbursementMany of our positions offer flexible schedules to meet your needsRelaxed business casual environmentSit/Stand desks for onsite office positionsFrequent team building activitiesCareer development opportunitiesAbout us: Lenze is a global manufacturer of electrical and mechanical drives, motion control and automation technology - offering products, drive solutions, complete automation systems, and engineering services and tools from one single source.
