Step into a dynamic contract opportunity serving students in a supportive educational environment. This position is dedicated to providing special education services through a unique virtual school program, based at the district office. With direct guidance from the Special Education Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in the academic and social-emotional development of a small caseload of approximately seven students, ensuring tailored support and impactful interventions.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid and current Special Education teaching license
- Proven experience delivering instruction in virtual or hybrid learning environments
- Background working with IEPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and technology skills to engage students in a virtual platform
- Ability to work independently while collaborating onsite with district leadership
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, student-centered learning experiences
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality instruction and support to a small group of students enrolled in virtual programs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with support staff
- Collaborate closely with the Special Education Director and district personnel at the main office
- Participate in meetings, case conferences, and professional development sessions as required
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided
