About this Job MedStar Health is seeking a Physical Therapist for MedStar Montgomery Medical Center. The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services to patients, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, reassessment, discharge planning, and documentation in various settings. The Physical Therapist participates as requested in program planning and protocol development, assisting the team in meeting established goals. Primary Duties Provide evaluation services—review relevant historical information, perform assessments, determine recommendations, and document results. Explain evaluation findings and treatment plan to patient and family, incorporating them into goal setting. Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and evolving health care environment. Consult with other healthcare professionals as indicated. Recognize and document changes in patient's condition requiring modification of the plan of care and/or medical/rehabilitation consultation. Complete appropriate discharge planning and follow-up care. Accurately and timely document and charge for patient care activities, painting a clear picture of the patient’s course of care. Demonstrate effective time management, meet productivity expectations, and manage an accurate schedule. Provide frictionless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and empathy in a patient‑consumer‑driven environment. Takes initiative in pursuing and directing continuing education for professional growth and competency for self and organization. Serve as a clinical instructor to assign students and assist with orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, volunteers, and technicians. Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia license required as deemed necessary for location.
