The Senior Manager: AI Transformation is a key delivery leader within the Firm’s IT Strategy & Transformation team, responsible for executing transformation initiatives and driving adoption of AI-enabled technologies across the firm. This role focuses on translating strategic objectives into actionable plans, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and ensuring measurable outcomes that enhance productivity and client service. Reporting to the Director: IT Strategy and Transformation, the Senior Manager partners closely with business stakeholders and IT delivery teams. It emphasizes collaboration, working with Client Engineering, Technology Services, Data & Analytics, Legal Technology & Innovation, Enterprise Platforms, and the PMO to co-drive solution definition and delivery. The Senior Manager monitors key performance metrics, identifies gaps, and works with stakeholders to implement corrective actions and continuous improvements. By contributing to dashboards, executive reporting, and value realization frameworks, this role ensures transparency and accountability for transformation outcomes. The Senior Manager ensures transformations are focused, sequenced, and visible. This position is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented leader who thrives on collaboration, execution excellence, and delivering tangible business value through technology adoption. The successful candidate will also serve as an evangelist for emerging technologies, inspiring teams to explore the art of the possible and champion innovative solutions that drive transformative impact across the firm. Responsibilities may evolve as transformation priorities expand and the team matures. Responsibilities Essential Functions: Transformation Enablement & AI Adoption : Drive the implementation and adoption of the Firm’s AI and digital transformation strategies across practice groups and business service teams Ensure AI technologies are seamlessly embedded into workflows, aligned with Firm priorities, and compliant with governance standards Drive transformation activities such as process analysis, journey mapping, and business process redesign to maximize efficiency and value delivery Collaborate with legal, business services, and IT teams to identify opportunities for innovation and technology-driven improvements, and co-own successful delivery Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with business, practice group, and functional leaders to understand evolving needs and challenges Develop targeted engagement programs to increase awareness and accelerate adoption of transformative technologies Synthesizes user stories, best practices, and “Voice of the User” insights to identify opportunities, surface pain points, and inform transformation priorities Change, Adoption & Communication : Partner with change management and learning & development teams to prepare users for new tools and processes Support the delivery of tailored communications, training plans, and feedback loops to drive adoption and confidence Establishes ongoing feedback channels to continuously refine engagement models, service offerings, and future initiatives Portfolio & Prioritization Support: Contribute to the evaluation of project proposals and business cases, including effort-impact assessments, benefits scoring, and alignment with Firm objectives Support prioritization forums by synthesizing insights for leadership decision-making Maintain the initiative pipeline and deliver clear, timely status updates to stakeholders Technology Roadmap Awareness & Opportunity Assessment: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft and legal technology roadmaps, proactively assessing emerging capabilities to identify opportunities that enhance productivity, efficiency, and business value General Duties: Performs other duties as assigned or required to meet Firm goals and objectives Qualifications Education/Training/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified, Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP), or process improvement credentials (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) preferred Professional Experience: Minimum of 8+ years in technology transformation or adoption-focused roles within a law firm, legal department, professional services or legal technology provider Strategic Partnership Building: Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse teams to co-drive delivery, operationalize improvements, and foster a culture of innovation and trust Demand Shaping & Strategy Enablement: Experience in translating business needs into actionable technology initiatives, influencing priorities, and ensuring alignment with the IT strategy and Firm objectives AI-Driven Operational Excellence: Leads operational improvements through AI-enabled solutions by embedding AI into workflows, piloting and scaling use cases, and delivering measurable gains in efficiency, effectiveness, and service quality Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Ability to interpret performance metrics, identify gaps, and collaborate on remediation plans to ensure sustained value realization Communication & Influence: Strong ability to present complex concepts in clear, concise language; adept at facilitating discussions and gaining stakeholder buy-in Innovation Mindset: Proactive in monitoring technology trends, assessing emerging capabilities to identify practical opportunities for productivity and efficiency Reporting & Insight Sharing: Experience producing executive-ready KPI reporting Technical Skills: AI & Digital Enablement: Hands‑on experience implementing AI‑driven solutions (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot) and embedding them into business or legal workflows Microsoft 365 Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and M365 applications, including Teams, Copilot, Loop, SharePoint, and OneDrive, with strong understanding of integration across the M365 ecosystem Solution Delivery (Forms & Low‑Code): Experience designing and deploying lightweight solutions using Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, and Power Apps (or similar low‑code tools) to digitize manual processes, standardize workflows, and rapidly prototype business processes, ensuring appropriate governance, security, and supportability Legal Technology Platforms: Familiarity with core legal technology solutions such as iManage, Intapp, and Litera, and their role in matter lifecycle Technology Roadmap Awareness: Demonstrated experience applying roadmap insights Process Improvement: Working knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and ability to apply tools such as process maps, root cause analysis, and fishbone diagrams to optimize workflows Business Relationship Management: Understanding of BRM principles and experience applying them to strengthen collaboration between IT and business stakeholders Performance Traits: Client-Centric & Solution-Oriented: Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering value through exceptional service and practical problem-solving Collaborative & Resilient: Thrives in diverse, cross‑functional environments;
