Location Memphis, TN Job Overview As an Assistant Store Manager (ASM), you’ll support our customers through financial needs while gaining hands‑on experience running a store. You’ll develop leadership skills by driving account management, customer outreach, and risk management. The role is performance‑driven, people‑first, and offers growth potential. Title Assistant Store Manager Compensation Hourly wage: $16.00 per hour. Total compensation includes base pay and additional benefits. Key Responsibilities Maximize customer success by offering suitable financial services. Assess transaction risk, process loan/pawn applications, check cashing, and ancillary products. Conduct daily call campaigns to market services and build new business. Oversee account management and recovery, including collection calls. Maintain accurate customer data in the POS system. Coach and develop Customer Service Representatives to meet quality standards. Perform off‑site duties such as vehicle appraisals, store errands, and external marketing. Meet performance standards through B2B partnerships, referrals, and community events. Follow opening/closing procedures and manage vault and cash drawer. Ensure compliance with policies, state and federal laws, conduct audits, and compile financial reports. Maintain store appearance and cleanliness, and coordinate maintenance. Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, handling multiple tasks. Perform additional tasks as directed by leadership. Maintain a full‑time schedule, including weekends (40+ hrs/week). Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year of customer service, sales, or retail experience. At least three months of supervisory, key holder, or relevant leadership experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with phones, POS, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems. Minimum age 18 (19 in Alabama). Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle available during work hours. Background check required. Physical ability: standing up to 90% of time, moving up to 25 lbs, operating mechanical controls. Preferred Qualifications Management experience in retail, convenience store, grocery, finance, or related industry. Experience in check cashing, document verification, or money order processing. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus and may be required in certain locations.
