Job DeveloperUnder the supervision of the Senior Job Developer, the Job Developer establishes and maintains activities to develop, locate, and secure job opportunities for program participants.Duties & Responsibilities:Develops and maintains employer relationships in the communityAssesses participants' skill sets and experiences in order to seek appropriate job opportunities for themParticipates in outreach and recruitment activities by coordinating and attending job fairsDevelops employer resources information and maintains a job bankDelivers job readiness-training workshops to program participants, simulating workplace environment whenever possibleAssists participants in assessing their job skills for positionsInstruct participants in job seeking, application procedures, resume writing, interview preparation, and job retention skillsProvides job search/career information workshops and presentations to participants/residentsArranges interviewsProvides participants with Labor Market informationDevelop work experience program internships placement sitesConducts job site visits after placement to ensure success by providing job analysisMonitors participant performance on the job and counsel participants when job performance is not satisfactoryRefers qualified participants to employers and conducts necessary follow-up after participants are placed in positionsKnowledgeable about training and educational opportunities available to participants/residents.Experience and Education Requirements:Bachelor's Degree and two years' experience in sales, job development, social service or employment and training programs working with disadvantaged adults.Agency Profile & Employee Expectations:Westhab is a prominent community development organization, providing housing and supportive services for more than 10,000 of the most vulnerable members of our community each year.
