Qualifications:
- A valid Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist license (K-12)
- Previous experience teaching high school students preferred
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Ability to implement IEPs and provide tailored accommodations
- Flexible and organized, ready to adapt teaching methods to individual student needs
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver specialized instruction for high school students with diverse learning requirements
- Maintain a caseload of approximately 24 students, ensuring each receives appropriate support and services
- Write, review, and update IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Track student progress and communicate with parents and educational partners regularly
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Stay current on best practices in special education and participate in ongoing professional development
