CNC Machine Operator - First Shift

CNC Machine Operator Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC equipment to produce high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Day and night shift available. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes) Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Load raw materials and monitor machine performance Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and efficiency Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety and quality standards Shift & Schedule Shift: 8‑hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:00a.m. – 2:15p.m Special: No weekend work required; overtime available as needed Qualifications Required High school diploma/GED One or more years of CNC machine experience in a manufacturing or production environment One or more years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and/or manufacturing specifications Oen or more years ofexperience using precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers, to verify dimensions and tolerances Basic computer and math skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Preferred Technical diploma, certificate, or vocational training in CNC machining or manufacturing Experience making tool offsets and basic machine adjustments Working knowledge of G-code and basic CNC program edits Experience performing inspections and documenting quality results Croix Gear Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Retirement plan (401(k) with company match) On-the-job training and advancement opportunities Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing/shop setting. Employees may be exposed to machinery, noise, and production materials. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and will be provided.
