Soils/Civil Engineer

Job Description Job Summary / Duties The Soils/Civil engineer will be responsible for site reconnaissance, scheduling drilling, logging borings, soils sampling, engineering analysis and assist in preparing of geotechnical reports. Additional responsibilities include assisting/preparation of cost proposals, providing exceptional customer service, assisting in laboratory testing. Having certificates from any jurisdiction for Lab tests is a plus. The job description does not constitute an employment agreement and is subject to change at any time by the Smith Emery manager. Requirements: Bachelor's degree and EIT in Civil Engineering are required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in geotechnical Investigation and laboratory testing. Strong working knowledge of geotechnical investigation. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel). Other certifications such as Laboratory Testing / Certified Caltrans Technician is a Plus but not a requirement. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Benefits: Competitive salary.
