This is a unique role that will split duties between the Courier and Specimen Processing departments. You will work the first half of the shift performing Courier/route driving duties and upon delivery of specimens to the branch, will perform Specimen Processing & Accessioning duties. Pay Range: $17.50 - $28.00 per hour 3rd shift differential All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Driver/Courier Responsibilities Act as a floater for the logistics team providing as needed coverage for various routes Provide on-route training for new couriers/drivers Assist with dispatch and pickups when needed Load all necessary supplies needed for the daily pickups Complete daily pick-up schedule in a timely manner Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift Handle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient manner Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups Work directly with dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed Specimen Processor Responsibilities Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing Pick up samples directly from client office Communicate effectively with client office staff Research, troubleshoot, resolve and document customer and specimen problems, and return specimens to client offices for corrections as needed Partner with sales to resolve onsite concerns/issues and support initial client set up and expectation setting Scrub requisitions to resolve missing items/details Spin/freeze/split or other special services as required by client Meet department activity and production goals Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Accurately identify and label specimens Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred Previous or current Labcorp experience is highly preferred 1 year related experience required (lab/accessioning, production/manufacturing/warehouse environment or patient-facing health care experience) 1 year patient-facing healthcare experience required 3+ years previous driver/courier experience required Proficient computer and typing skills Must pass standardized color vision test Comfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samples Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, work in protective equipment and sit/stand for long periods of time Strong eye-hand coordination in order to accurately identify specimens by touch and sight Ability to work both independently and in a team environment High level of attention to detail with the ability to problem solve Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Must have a Valid Driver's License and good driving record Must be at least 21 years old Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
