About the Role
The Company is seeking a President to lead its institution with a strong focus on student success, community engagement, and equity in higher education. The successful candidate will be a visionary, mission-driven leader, with a deep commitment to the values of the university. This role is pivotal in guiding the institution through its next chapter, building on a legacy of growth and transformation. The President will be responsible for prioritizing affordability, financial sustainability, inclusive excellence, and community engagement, while upholding the university's identity as a student-centered, equity-focused institution. A key aspect of the role is to lead with integrity, foster a sense of belonging, and be actively engaged both on campus and in the surrounding community. Candidates for the President position at the company should possess an advanced degree and have a strong affiliation with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America or one of the denominations in full communion partnership with the ELCA. The ideal leader will combine strategic vision with an authentic commitment to the mission and community, and will be expected to have a proven track record in higher education leadership. The role requires a leader who can effectively integrate the liberal arts and professional studies, and who is dedicated to the values of service, bold thinking, and deep community engagement.
