Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple inpatient units of varying acuity levels, including IMC, Med-Surg, Skilled Care, and potentially CCU or ED based on skillset
• Manage patient assignments with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:2 in CCU up to 1:8 in Med-Surg and higher in Skilled Care settings

• Titrate and manage critical drips, including Heparin, when assigned to CCU or ED
• Read, interpret, and document telemetry strips; print strips, perform measurements, and identify cardiac rhythms independently
• Troubleshoot respiratory equipment including vents, BiPAP, CPAP, trachs, and high-flow devices in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
• Receive unit assignments via text message within 2 hours prior to shift start; clock in on assigned unit and complete daily time sheets

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license (any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission)
• Minimum of 5 years of registered nursing experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS required if working in CCU or ED
• Ability to manage patient ratios ranging from 1:2 to 1:10 across multiple unit types
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius per facility policy; valid, unexpired driver's license required at submission
• Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, multi-unit expertise, and strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of ICU or ED nursing experience
• Background as an ICU or Stepdown traveler with comfort floating to lower acuity units
• Experience managing common diagnoses such as NSTEMI, pneumonia, sepsis, diabetes, heart disease, and diverticulitis
