Position Summary

\n

Blue Skies Consulting is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support pre-migration source data profiling, Master Data Management (MDM) and data readiness initiatives for SAP S/4HANA. This role is responsible for assessing the quality and readiness of Customer, Vendor, and related master data by identifying data quality issues, developing SQL-based profiling logic, creating data quality scorecards, and supporting business data cleansing efforts prior to migration. The Data Analyst will partner closely with the Data Lead, business process owners, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, SAP functional consultants, and technical teams to analyze source data, define business rules, document migration requirements, and deliver actionable insights that support a successful SAP S/4HANA implementation.

Key Qualifications

\n

Candidates should possess the following experience:

\n

\n
• Expert SQL and data profiling skills , including complex queries, data validation, reconciliation, exception reporting, and repeatable profiling outputs.
\n
• Hands-on experience with SAP Customer and Vendor Master Data within SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments, including Master Data Management (MDM) principles and data quality best practices.
\n
• Ability to translate business requirements into actionable data rules , profiling logic, validation criteria, exception reporting, and business-ready scorecards.
\n
• Experience supporting SAP data migration and migration readiness activities —including source-to-target mapping, mock loads, validation, reconciliation, and readiness reporting—is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Profile and analyze SAP Customer, Vendor, Business Partner, and related master data to identify completeness, consistency, duplication, validity, and migration readiness issues.
\n
• Support Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance initiatives by improving data quality and establishing profiling, validation, and cleansing standards.
\n
• Develop complex SQL queries for data profiling, reconciliation, exception reporting, source-to-target analysis, validation, and migration readiness.
\n
• Design and maintain data quality scorecards, dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting to measure data quality, cleansing progress, and migration readiness.
\n
• Translate business requirements into SQL-based profiling logic, validation rules, exception reports, and business cleansing criteria.
\n
• Collaborate with Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (OTC), Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, SAP functional, and technical teams to identify data gaps, conversion risks, and cross-functional dependencies.
\n
• Support business data cleansing by providing issue analysis, data extracts, root cause identification, prioritization, and remediation recommendations.
\n
• Document business rules, profiling methodologies, data quality findings, assumptions, scorecard definitions, risks, and migration readiness metrics.
\n
• Support source-to-target analysis, mock loads, data validation, reconciliation, defect investigation, and cutover readiness activities.
\n
• Escalate critical data quality issues with clearly defined business impacts and recommended corrective actions.

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline.
\n
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst supporting SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA data migration or transformation programs.
\n
• Experience with SAP Customer, Vendor, and related master data objects.
\n
• Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM), data quality, data governance, source-to-target mapping, validation, and data cleansing.
\n
• Experience supporting Supply Chain business processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and/or Order-to-Cash (OTC), etc.
\n
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders, Data Leads, SAP functional consultants, and technical teams to resolve data quality issues.
\n
• Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation or enterprise migration programs.
\n
• Experience with SAP Master Data Governance (SAP MDG).
\n
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
\n
• Experience with SAP Data Services, Migration Cockpit, Informatica, or other enterprise migration tools.
