Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Phlebotomist to join a well-established medical center committed to providing exceptional laboratory services. In this role, you will perform blood draws, specimen collection, and processing while ensuring patient safety and confidentiality. Responsibilities:

Draw high-quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established protocols and safety procedures.

Prepare and label specimens accurately, verifying patient demographic information through proper identification techniques.

Explain collection procedures to patients, creating a comfortable environment built on trust and professionalism.

Perform specimen processing and documentation, ensuring all records are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment in compliance with health and safety policies.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors, including adherence to process excellence, confidentiality, and meticulous attention to detail.

Adapt to various clinical settings including patient service centers, outpatient clinics, or in-office locations, based on operational needs.

Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to support overall patient care and operational goals.

Provide reliable, error-free work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities efficiently.

Exercise sound judgment and decision-making based on established procedures, with minimal supervision.

Required Skills:

Minimum of three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, with proficiency in venipuncture, skin puncture, and capillary collections.

Strong knowledge of blood collection best practices, safety standards, and specimen handling protocols.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally with diverse patients.

Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities or schedule demands, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Proficiency in data entry and keyboarding, with attention to detail for specimen labeling and documentation.

Valid phlebotomy certification (preferred but not mandatory depending on location) and required licensure in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record if travel between locations is necessary.

Nice to Have Skills:

Medical assistant or paramedic training.

Experience in a customer service or retail environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Ability to handle high-volume workloads with efficiency and accuracy.

Preferred Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic background is advantageous.

A minimum of three years of dedicated phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, preferably within a clinical or patient service center environment.

Other Requirements:

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime based on operational needs.

Travel between multiple locations with minimal notice, utilizing reliable transportation.

Capable of lifting and handling specimens, standing for extended periods, and performing physical tasks related to blood collection.
