Job Summary
We are seeking a talented professional to join our team. The ideal candidate is detailed oriented, highly organized, has a strong understanding of accounting/bookeeping in the Construction Industry. In this diversified role, the following responsibilities are included:
Responsibilities
- Enter financial data and transactions
- Provide financial reporting and maintain accurate records
- Coordination with Project Management to invoice current projects
- Process all accounts receivable transactions
- Verify the accuracy of transactions which have been entered
- Prepare trial balance
- Analyze budgets and other financial information
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Receipt of Client payments and allocation of receipts to appropriate projects
- Process Field Payroll for Union members. Remittance of Union Stamps via IRemit
- Safeguard the accuracy of the General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Financial Reports in our Accounting System
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is a plus
- Experience in the Construction Industry is a major asset
- Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, and basic accounting systems
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
