RN - PCU

Registered Nurse - MedSurg/PCU

This position is for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in MedSurg and PCU. The RN will flex across departments as needed within a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. Candidates must have an active Washington state RN license and be prepared to work through the holiday season with minimal requests for time off.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient and significant other educational needs and provide appropriate education.
• Ensure patient safety through preventative measures and adherence to policy.
• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment operation in the PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg areas and trouble-shoot when necessary.
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures correctly, maintaining standard precautions.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and concise documentation of patient status and nursing interventions.
• Accurately document physician orders and give change of shift reports to oncoming staff.
• Communicate critical lab values to physicians timely, according to policy.
• Restock emergency carts, rooms, and general supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule

This role consists of Night shifts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Washington.
• Previous experience in MedSurg and PCU required.
