We are looking for Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team and contribute to our growth.

Job Summary:
Accounting Specialist at CK Snacks will play a critical part in supporting the accounting operations of our expanding business, handling accounts payable for multiple facilities and accounts receivable for one location.While supporting operations at multiple facilities, this position will be located at the Grand Rapids, MI facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable (AP):
  • Manage and process vendor invoices for multiple facilities using various ERP systems.
  • Verify invoice accuracy, match purchase orders, and ensure proper coding.
  • General Ledger coding invoices to appropriate expense accounts and routing them for approval.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments.
  • Assist with month-end close by ensuring all AP transactions are recorded accurately.
• Accounts Receivable (AR):
  • Generate and send customer invoices for one facility.
  • Record customer payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Report Customer Account Receivable balances to Leadership on routine basis.
  • Monitor accounts for overdue balances and follow up with customers to resolve outstanding invoices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address billing or payment discrepancies.
  • Prepare AR aging reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.
• General Duties:
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist with audits by providing requested documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support other finance team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Comfort in using multiple systems.
• Experience with EDI invoicing a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
