Infant/Toddler LEAD teacher

Nurtured Growth Childcare Center is hiring an Infant/Toddler LEAD teacher in Osage Beach, MO Summary We are hiring 1 lead teacher for our under 1 room at Nurtured Growth Childcare Center in Osage Beach, MO. Our newer center is filled with natural light, has a strong teamwork culture, and focuses on outdoor time for infants and toddlers. The lead teacher will work with another teacher to serve approximately 8 babies or toddlers, supervise activities, staff the room, and plan infant-focused lessons. The position requires a CDA or higher and includes 30‑minute lunch breaks. Duties Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts. Sanitize toys and play equipment. Identify signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring them to parents' or guardians' attention. Observe and monitor children's play activities. Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered. Requirements A CDA, Associates in Teaching or related field, or 5 or more years of experience with children under 1 in a corporate childcare setting Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills. High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. A strong understanding of child development. Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Before Employment Begins Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment. Must clear full background check and must pass health screening. Complete safe sleep training before working. Physical Requirements Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl. A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception. Nice To Haves CDA or ECC associates degree or college credits with a field that pertains to children. We will provide a play-based program with focus on health and well-being of children through physical movement, nutrition, and time spent outdoors as much as possible.
