Position Details Position: Behavioral Health Supervisor Employment Type: Full-Time; Salaried Exempt Department: Receiving Hope Center (RHC) Reports To: Assistant Director Location: Dallas, GA Hours: : 40 hours per week, Wednesday: 12:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.; Thursday–Saturday: 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. About The Role The Behavioral Health Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for the daily care, supervision, and support of participants at Wellspring Living’s Receiving Hope Center. This position supervises and supports Behavioral Health Specialists, Behavioral Health Technicians, and PRN staff while partnering closely with therapeutic, educational, life skills, and health services teams. The Supervisor is responsible for helping ensure a safe, structured, trauma-informed, and strength-based environment for participants. This role provides day-to-day staff leadership, coordinates program operations, supports participant stabilization, oversees staff training and compliance, and helps ensure that participant and organizational goals are consistently carried out. The Behavioral Health Supervisor serves as a role model for both staff and participants, demonstrating healthy boundaries, effective communication, sound judgment, crisis management skills, and a commitment to Wellspring Living’s mission and values. Key Responsibilities Staff Leadership & Coordination Provide daily leadership, support, coaching, and delegation to Behavioral Health Specialists, Behavioral Health Technicians, and PRN staff. Manage behavioral health staff schedules within assigned timeframes, including coordinating coverage, approving time-off requests, and assisting with timesheet review and approval. Ensure adequate staffing and coverage for program operations and respond to coverage needs and emergencies. Maintain on-call availability to address staffing and program coverage emergencies as required. Provide direction regarding staff responsibilities, shift expectations, participant supervision, and program procedures. Participate as a lead team member in implementing participant service plans, safety plans, behavior plans, and response plans. Lead by example through a strength-based, trauma-informed approach with both participants and staff. Facilitate monthly staff meetings and communicate important program updates, expectations, and organizational information. Serve as a point person for volunteers, visitors, and guests at the Receiving Hope Center. Address staff performance, accountability, and operational concerns in partnership with the Assistant Director and appropriate organizational leadership. Program Structure & Daily Operations Provide oversight of the daily structure and functioning of the Receiving Hope Center. Observe the emotional and behavioral presentation of participants and communicate concerns or changes to the clinical team. Observe the physical well-being of participants and communicate concerns to the appropriate Health Services/Health Support Program team. Ensure staff consistently follow program policies, procedures, participant expectations, and safety protocols. Actively participate in program activities and encourage staff engagement with participants, particularly during volunteer activities and other structured programming. Ensure completion of required safety checks and other routine program monitoring. Provide support and crisis intervention as needed, following established policies and response protocols. Ensure accurate, timely, and detailed daily documentation and electronic health record/database entries. Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming program environment. Provide culturally competent care to participants with histories of trauma and serve all individuals without regard to race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religious or spiritual beliefs. Staff Training & Compliance Coordinate staff participation in required training programs and the Wellspring Living Training Institute. Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new Receiving Hope Center staff. Coordinate and monitor completion of required staff trainings, certifications, and competencies. Maintain accurate training and compliance records. Become a certified Mindset Trainer and provide Mindset training to staff as needed. Become a certified CPR trainer and provide CPR training to staff as needed. Ensure staff maintain required certifications and training compliance. Maintain current and accurate information in the GA+SCORE online system in accordance with applicable state guidelines. Support staff development through coaching, modeling, feedback, and opportunities for continued learning. Participant Stabilization & Care Coordination Coordinate with the Health Services/Health Support Program team regarding new participant room assignments. Coordinate and facilitate new participant orientation. Support implementation and monitoring of participant action plans. Prepare and provide monthly participant summary reports to the appropriate Health Services/clinical team. Monitor and document balanced living tracking information in the appropriate database. Facilitate leadership and skills-building groups with participants. Support consistent implementation of participant behavior, safety, and response plans. Review medication documentation and oversee preparation and maintenance of monthly Medication Administration Records (MARs) and medication count logs in accordance with program requirements. Collaborate with therapeutic, educational, health services, and life skills staff to support individual participant goals. Communicate participant progress, concerns, and significant changes to the appropriate members of the multidisciplinary team. Healthy Living & Culture Develop intentional, healthy connections with participants and staff. Provide direction, encouragement, and accountability to staff and participants. Model healthy boundaries and appropriate professional relationships. Model the characteristics and behaviors of a Mission Driven Professional. Promote a strength-based culture focused on participant empowerment, growth, and independence. Encourage staff to engage participants in healthy routines, positive behaviors, life skills, and pro-social activities. Support a culture of safety, compassion, accountability, and excellence. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, education, or a related field. Minimum of four years of direct-service experience working with children, adolescents, and/or families experiencing significant emotional or behavioral needs, including at least two years of supervisory or management experience; or Minimum of five years of related direct-service experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Experience providing trauma-informed care and/or working with vulnerable youth populations. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and support staff in a residential or behavioral health environment. Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and email; ability to learn and navigate organizational databases and electronic health record systems. Valid Georgia driver’s license maintained throughout employment. Current CPR and First Aid certifications, or ability to obtain required certifications within the timeframe established by Wellspring Living. Documentation of at least two professional references and one personal reference attesting to capability and suitability for working with children and vulnerable populations. Strong relationship-management skills and the ability to build trust while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally competent care and participant empowerment. Servant leadership and a willingness to lead by example. Position Requirements Employment is contingent upon completing pre-employment screenings and maintaining ongoing compliance throughout employment, including: Criminal history background check, fingerprinting, and drug testing. Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. Verification of professional and personal references. Completion of a physical health screening exam by a licensed healthcare professional within 30 days of hire to identify conditions that may present infectious disease, injury, or care-related risks to participants. Participation in all required trainings and demonstrated competency in required training content. Ability to administer physical restraints when permitted and required by program policies, procedures, and applicable training. Ability to drive a company vehicle as needed. Candidates must not have been determined, based on credible evidence (such as a court or jury finding, department investigation, or other reliable evidence), to have abused, neglected, sexually exploited, or deprived a child or adult, or to have caused serious injury to any person through intentional or grossly negligent misconduct. Ability to perform physical duties associated with participant care and crisis response. Ability to work for extended periods at a computer. Moderate local travel required for participant, program, training, and collaboration needs. Occasional travel beyond the metro Atlanta area may be required for training, meetings, or organizational needs. Ability to work a flexible schedule and provide coverage support when program needs require it.
