HumCap’s client is seeking a Buyer to join their team in Garland, TX. This role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials to support manufacturing operations while ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities Source, evaluate, and purchase high-quality materials and components Procure and schedule materials and services to meet production demands Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers Maintain awareness of market trends and supplier capabilities Interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications Collaborate with engineering on prototypes and R&D initiatives Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders Support team purchasing efforts to achieve optimal cost and quality Analyze inventory and production needs to ensure supply continuity Inspect materials and report quality issues to suppliers and management Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 5-7 years of purchasing or supply chain experience Preferred Skills Experience with ERP systems Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong negotiation and critical thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Work Environment Indoor production setting with moderate noise Exposure to manufacturing equipment Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Occasional bending, stooping, or crouching Manual dexterity for handling materials and equipment Ability to lift up to 10 pounds This description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities.
