Will be first point of contact to service customers seeking repairs and maintenance. Job responsibilities may include but not limited to quoting jobs, writing estimates, assigning jobs to shop techs, overseeing and managing a job's progress or status, entering notes and recording diagnostics for jobs, tracking parts, maintaining supplies/accessories and preparing replacement orders as needed, ensuring all cost has been inputted and posted, opening and closing work orders, ensuring techs are appropriately clocking in and out of work orders, explaining work done and gathering approvals from customers, collecting payment and signatures before releasing equipment, entering and following up on warranties per vendor, managing DOTs, maintaining service dept filing and records, assisting office with answering incoming calls, and communicating regularly with Corporate Office, Vendors, and Customers as needed via phone and/or email. May need to assist with moving equipment via forklift or yard mule. Will need basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Teams, and Outlook. General understanding of mechanical terms and knowledge on quoting job hours for trailer repairs is preferred, or equivalent work experience. Being bilingual and having Forklift, Yard mule, or DOT inspector experience is a plus. Additional skills will impact the negotiable salary listed below. This job position entails working in the yard and/or shop as well as inside the office. They will need to be organized and have great time management.
