Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A permanent leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy to oversee multi-state pharmacy operations with a focus on regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and financial performance.

This role requires a strategic leader responsible for guiding pharmacy teams across several states, developing and enforcing policies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring adherence to Board of Pharmacy regulations, Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA requirements. You will drive quality improvement efforts, lead performance management initiatives, and foster collaboration and effective communication among staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day pharmacy operations and ensure compliance across multiple states.
• Provide strategic oversight to pharmacy managers, supervisors, and team members.
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing pharmacy teams.
• Establish and enforce pharmacy policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Chair quality review committees and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor financial performance and recommend cost-control strategies.
• Maintain productive relationships with vendors and manufacturers for optimal service quality and pricing.
• Promote organizational change initiatives and uphold confidentiality and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of related experience with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership or management role.
• Multi-state pharmacy licensures are REQUIRED.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and healthcare reimbursement programs.
• Experience with performance management, process improvement, and quality assurance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and analyze complex business and regulatory information.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Location: Palm Harbor, FL (local candidates preferred)
