The Pearl of St Charles is looking for a talented Wound Care Nurse to join our team!  The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills and be passionate about caring for our residents!!

Position Responsibilities:

·         Provide primary skin care to residents with an emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders.

·         Consult with Nursing team regarding assessment evaluations.

·         Assist in planning and developing the skin care treatment to be performed.

·         Round with physician.

·         Follow established safety precautions when preforming tasks and using equipment and supplies.

• Direct and supervise Certified Nurse Aides.

• Complete required record keeping upon resident admission, discharge, transfer; chart and document per facility policy.

• Make daily rounds of unit and prioritize in a fast pace environment.

Candidate must have the following:

·         Promote and facilitate team work

·         Demonstrate a high standard of ethics

·         Dependability

·         Knowledge of nursing and medical procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities

·         Leadership and supervisory skills

·         Able to make independent decisions

·         Demonstrate excellent customer service

Job requirements:

·         Licensed Registered Nurse – RN/LPN

·         CPR Certified

·         Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job

·         Must successfully pass background and drug screening
