the role:

as the operations manager (AGM) you are the general manager’s right hand, responsible for the daily execution of restaurant operations and supporting the GM in building and leading the team. you are responsible for facilitating a world-class environment for both team members and guests, and for driving consistency across shifts, team development and the guest experience. you are the go-to leader when the GM is not present, and you set clear expectations, drive effective training and ensure our team members have measurable goals, providing the tools to meet them along the way.

you will:

• arrive before your team expects you; for a shift, meeting, interview or progress report

• serve as manager on duty for shifts, overseeing food quality, hospitality and team performance

• assist the general manager with developing schedules based on labor projections, and help manage team member availability needs 4-6 weeks out

• place and review orders based on inventory levels, sales projections, wholesale workload, special events and seasonal changes

• track cost of goods and assist the general manager with weekly, monthly and quarterly financial check-points

• oversee hiring, onboarding and training in partnership with the certified trainer, ensuring the team completes the FUSIAN U curriculum on schedule

• complete progress reports and 30-day evaluations with team members, and hold the team accountable to standards outlined in the handbook

• maintain a valid ServSafe certification and HACCP protocol knowledge to ensure the restaurant complies with food code standards inside and out

• complete and review all task lists + HACCP records for completion

• assist with daily cash management, deposits and payroll review

• lead pre-shift huddles and shift plans to maximize efficiency and through-put

• maintain cleanliness and functionality of the entire restaurant and all equipment

• attend and help lead weekly manager meetings, and attend ALL professional development workshops hosted by FUSIAN annually

• support the general manager in building a strong restaurant culture through team building and community engagement

• step in to perform general manager responsibilities in their absence

• perform other duties assigned

Compensation and benefits

• $45,000–$50,000 base salary
