Water Engineers - Designer

GFT is seeking a Water Engineers - Designer to join our teams in Texas! These roles follow a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at one of our many Texas office locations.

What you'll be challenged to do:

As a Water Engineer-Designer, you will provide technical support to a team of skilled engineers and project managers, leveraging your expertise to enhance the team's capabilities while supporting multiple projects simultaneously.

In this capacity, the successful candidates could be responsible for the following:

• Supporting condition assessment evaluations for water and stormwater assets, including pipelines and pump stations, using various design approaches and technologies.
• Developing small to large design projects from planning to construction.
• Preparing complete construction packages (including plans, specs, and OPCC) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of water systems for clients.
• Preparing detailed engineering calculations and performing technical analyses which may involve utilizing 3rd party software platforms.
• Participating in local office activities to encourage collaboration, foster client development, and improve office camaraderie.

What you will bring to our firm:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study.
• 1-3 years of related experience
• EPANET, WaterGEMS, InfoWater, Hammer software experience required
• EIT required
• Project experience including design of water treatment plant upgrades, water distribution systems, pump stations, and stormwater assets.
• Hydraulic modeling experience is a plus.
• Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Experience managing preparation of and reviewing and approving engineering plans, specifications, project schedules, and construction cost estimates.
• Experience using Bluebeam is desired.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $95,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location. Featured Benefits:
