We are a warm, patient-oriented 200-bed, skilled nursing and rehabilitation center overlooking the scenic Sheepshead Bay. Our Center, established in 1970 has been a pioneering force behind rehabilitation services. We are centered on optimal care, advanced therapeutic technology, and life-enriching programs. Address: 2840 Knapp St, Brooklyn, NY 11235, USA Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy, Leisure Studies, or a related field preferred but not required Previous experience working with seniors Previous experience in long-term care or nursing home settings is preferred Develop, implement, and lead engaging activity programs Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of recreational services Strong communication skills to connect with residents, families, and team members Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Passion for creating a vibrant, meaningful, and fulfilling lifestyle for residents Knowledge of caregiving best practices and recreational therapy Familiarity with home community care services Responsibilities Develop and implement programs that enhance the quality of life for residents Plan and execute recreational therapy programs Coordinate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal care Address aging issues through counseling and support You have an exciting opportunity to work at our exceptional Skilled Nursing Facility!
