We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Associate to support daily outbound fulfillment activities in Sugar Land, Texas. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE USING FEDEX SHIP MANAGER. This Contract position is ideal for someone who takes pride in accurate order handling, careful packaging, and efficient shipment processing. The role focuses on preparing parcels for carrier pickup, confirming order accuracy, and maintaining a safe, organized shipping area. You will play an important part in ensuring customers receive the correct items on time and in excellent condition.

Responsibilities:

• Review each order against supporting documentation to confirm product details such as item type, color, size, and quantity before shipment.

• Pack merchandise in suitable shipping materials, choosing the right mailers or boxes based on item size, weight, and fragility.

• Add protective packing materials as needed to reduce the risk of damage during transit.

• Prepare shipments in carrier software, generate required documentation, and apply labels accurately to each parcel.

• Choose the appropriate FedEx delivery option according to service requirements and customer selections.

• Scan outgoing packages into the system so tracking activity is updated promptly.

• Organize completed shipments by service level in designated staging areas for scheduled pickup.

• Support carrier handoff by verifying shipment counts and helping ensure all packages are loaded correctly.

• Track inventory of shipping materials and alert leadership when supplies need replenishment.

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safety-conscious packing station to support efficient workflow.

• Experience in shipping, logistics, fulfillment, or distribution operations.
• Ability to verify order information with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with parcel processing systems or carrier platforms used for label creation and shipment tracking.
• Knowledge of packaging methods and protective materials for a range of product types.
• Ability to coordinate multiple shipments while meeting daily deadlines.
• Comfortable working with shipping standards, including package size and weight considerations.
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to keeping the work area clean and efficient.
