Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Electrophysiology Lab Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: The Electrophysiology Laboratory (EP LAB) Professional is responsible for providing specialized care for patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures. Based in Tucson, Arizona, this role involves preparing patients for electrophysiology procedures, assisting physicians during interventions, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The position requires a dedicated registered nurse with proficient skills in cardiac care and the ability to work in a high-acuity setting. Job Details: Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/07/2026. Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in Arizona or a compact state license, ACLS certification, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of clinical experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Electrophysiology Labs, Cardiac Catheterization, Cardiac Care Units, ICU, or Telemetry is preferred but considered on a case-by-case basis. Responsibilities: Admit patients and prepare them for electrophysiology procedures, including charting pre-procedure checklists, IV starts, and access preparation Prepare patients for cardioversions (CV) and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) Recover patients following catheterization procedures with conscious sedation Sedate, circulate, and document bedside procedures such as CV and TEE Discharge patients with appropriate teaching, documentation, and physical discharge procedures Additional Information: This position involves working with high-risk, high-acuity cardiac patients in a cardiac observation unit where bedside procedures such as TEE and cardioversions are performed. Call requirements include rotating weekend shifts with specific hours, approximately once every four to six weeks, including Saturday and Sunday coverage.
