FT Day: Location coverage includes NJTS (Monroe, NJ) and RCH Essex (Newark, NJ)Position SummaryThe Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides comprehensive mental health care and support to the inmate/patient population within a correctional facility. The LCSW assesses, plans, and delivers individualized treatment services while collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure the safety, well-being, and rehabilitation of inmates/patients.Education & LicensureMaster’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LSW, LPC, or equivalent in the state where services are provided.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical ServicesConduct mental health intakes, assessments, and crisis interventions.Provide individual and group counseling tailored to inmate/patient needs.Analyze psychosocial and behavioral factors to inform treatment planning.Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.Maintain accurate and timely progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries.Treatment Team CollaborationActively participate as a member of the treatment team to coordinate care and implement interventions.Provide observational feedback and professional insights to the multidisciplinary team.Refer inmates/patients to appropriate external resources and services upon release.Program & Environment ManagementFacilitate therapeutic group sessions addressing identified treatment issues.Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all inmates/patients.Ensure compliance with facility policies, ethical standards, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of the facility and behavioral health program.Skills & CompetenciesStrong clinical assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills.Knowledge of correctional mental health practices and trauma-informed care.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.Physical & Work EnvironmentAbility to work in a secure correctional environment, adhering to safety and security protocols.May require standing, walking, and occasional lifting or assisting patients.Must respond appropriately in high-stress or emergency situations.Organizational ExpectationsProvides a positive and professional representation of CFG Health Systems, LLC.Promotes a culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and preventionMaintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in related scope of job role or practiceAdheres to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulationsParticipate in ongoing quality improvement activitiesCompletes required orientation as directed by the facilityFollows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignmentFollows facility and CFG Health Systems Occurrence ProtocolUpholds HIPAA and PREA regulationsPunctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shiftsMaintains security clearance for the assigned facilityPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
