This also includes managing the team of Project Managers and analysts that support the various strategies offered.This position requires a strong domain expertise in US equity research and portfolio management, including strong equity portfolio management and investment research with a tangible and successful performance track record.The role is expected to collaborate and share with equity portfolio managers and research analysts, responsible investment experts and other internal stakeholders, and supporting the commercial success.As our Senior Equity Portfolio Manager you will:Follow team established investment philosophy and processes in security selection and portfolio constructionEvaluate and optimize portfolios to improve returns and manage riskMonitor portfolios for necessary adjustments, rebalancing assets based on market movements, cash flows, and performance deviationsUtilize financial models and analytics tools to generate insights, supporting data-driven decision-makingConduct regular reviews of portfolio performance and risk metricsParticipate and communicate high conviction portfolio holdings with equity peers and other stakeholdersContribute toward developing best practices in equity research and portfolio managementDevelop a multi-year business plan together with product specialists and marketingDevelop a strong narrative for investment strategiesParticipate in internal and external client eventsPresent investment strategies, performance, and market outlook with internal and external clientsSupport and oversight of the end-to-end derivatives process e.g. Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, etcLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing investment team, foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvementProvide strategic direction and support to portfolio managers, analysts, and tradersPromote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team and across the organizationContribute to improved and efficient operational controls and processesEnsure all investment activities comply with OCC Regulation 9, including fiduciary responsibilities and prudent investment managementMaintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and ensure the investment team adheres to all legal and regulatory requirementsPrepare and oversee regulatory communications and audits as requiredManage balance between investment returns and risksPrioritize deliverables effectively considering evolving demands and occasional resourcing constraintsWork with stakeholders to drive portfolio outcome consistencyEnsure all trading activities comply with internal policies and regulatory guidelinesEstablish and maintain robust risk management practices to identify, assess, and mitigate investment and non-financial risksEnsure compliance with OCC Regulation 9 and other relevant regulatory requirementsDevelop and oversee the implementation of risk control measures and proceduresAdhere to processes and controls to identify and mitigate risks and ensure timely escalation of control issues and reputation risksLeadership on regulatory and compliance mattersAs an HSBC employee, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities to ensure you have the right skills for today and tomorrow.
