Expert SAR Imagery Scientist The Opportunity: Leverage advanced and specialized physics research expertise to test and analyze physical phenomena, conduct and shape R&D programs, and support S&T client challenges. Apply leading‑edge principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision, and mentor or supervise employees in both company and technical competencies. Key Responsibilities Test and analyze physical phenomena, conduct and shape R&D programs, support S&T client challenges, apply leading‑edge principles, provide innovative solutions, and mentor or supervise employees in company and technical competencies. Qualifications Experience with SARPy and Matlab SAR toolbox Experience with RNIIS, information theoretic‑based image quality metrics, SAR imagery quality metrics, and sensor metadata, such as graze or squint Experience exploiting SAR to determine the occurrence and location of an OOI Experience developing, testing, and evaluating new algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using SAR imagery with tools such as Python, MATLAB, or Google Earth Engine Experience communicating with technical and non‑technical audiences about the availability and capabilities of SAR Knowledge of collection, phenomenology, image formation process, and exploitation products Knowledge of the principles of remote sensing and imagery processing and advanced exploitation methods Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience as a SAR expert, or Master's degree and 13+ years, or Doctorate degree and 11+ years Nice to Have Experience applying CV and machine learning to SAR imagery Benefits Health, life, disability, financial, retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care.
