Location: Buffalo Grove, IL (Onsite)
Shift: 8 AM - 4 PM
This position is for the Healthcare Diagnostics division.
We are looking for a Mechanical Design/Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and maintenance of electro-mechanical and mechatronic products within our Healthcare Diagnostics division. This role will focus on mechanical design , product support, troubleshooting, manufacturing collaboration, and cost optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience using 3D CAD tools , supporting product development activities, and working in cross-functional engineering environments.
- Design and modify mechanical components using 3D modeling software
- Support existing products and assist with new product development initiatives
- Create technical documentation, engineering specifications, and reports
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, suppliers, and vendors on product development activities
- Support manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication processes for electro-mechanical products
- Troubleshoot product issues in manufacturing sites, field locations, and customer environments
- Assist with cost reduction and tooling optimization efforts
- Support project schedules, product costing, and engineering deliverables
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical or mechatronic engineering experience
- Experience using NX 3D CAD modeling tools
- Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly , and fabrication processes
- Experience supporting electro-mechanical product development
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with PLM/ERP systems such as TeamCenter and SAP
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on mechanical laboratory or prototype testing experience
- Prior experience working with suppliers and production tooling
- Exposure to cost value engineering initiatives
- Advanced troubleshooting experience in field/customer environments
