Job Details Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse Travel Contract Setting: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Recovery Room Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19141 Start Date: 10/05/2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM Schedule: 3 shifts per week Call: Required, including weekday and weekend call coverage Hours Per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070 – $2,180 Orientation: 16 hours Charting System: Cerner Aecis Surgi Net Float: Possible float to SPU/PACU, GI, or Pain Center as needed Patient Mix: Adults, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of PACU nursing or critical care experience Level I Trauma experience required ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC required Experience with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems required Experience in SICU, MICU, or CTICU preferred Strong comfort level caring for post-surgical and post-procedural patients Ability to complete onboarding requirements promptly, including labs, fingerprints, and references Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required Responsibilities Provide high-quality post-anesthesia recovery care for patients following surgical and procedural interventions Monitor and manage adult and pediatric patients in the PACU Care for a wide variety of cases, including trauma, transplant, GI, vascular, cardiac cath, IR, ENT, dental, and general surgery Support post-operative recovery for patients with complex needs, including ventilators, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, drains, CBI, and vasoactive infusions Respond confidently to post-procedural changes and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team Assist with call coverage and remain flexible for occasional floating as needed Deliver safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment Apply now to join a top Philadelphia healthcare team in this rewarding PACU Registered Nurse travel contract opportunity.
