Retail Sales Account Manager

The mission for this position is to be responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close. Develop and implement marketing plan which will meet business goals of expanding customer base. Work within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel up to 20% and work in a team of professionals.
• Assist in traveling for the following:
  • Trade shows
  • Broker trainings
  • Store visits
  • Retail meetings

• Assist Department Manager on the implementation of company market plans as needed.
• Represent the company at food shows and tabletop events.
• Responsible for outsourcing and developing customer relations and referrals.
• Assist CPG Director in maintaining accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, sales calls, closed sales and follow-up.
• Assist in tradeshow planning and packing.
• Support sales team in analyzing sales data and putting together brand decks.
• Support Retail Sales Representative with all consumer emails and calls.
• Assist with Direct-to-Consumer packing, order issues, freight claims etc.
• Complete understanding of all retail lines.
• Assist Department Managers with R&D on new products and packaging for Retail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all company policy and procedure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the food industry.
• Experience working with distributors, retailers and brokers.
• Experience representing companies at tabletops such as food shows, markets or job fair events.
• Experience in customer service roles.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience analyzing sales data.
• Ability to operate independently within defined parameters with little or no supervision.
