Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a leading specialty chemical manufacturing client. This individual will support critical plant operations by maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical systems, including pumps, blowers, pressure vessels, and other rotating equipment. They will get into the plant everyday and get work orders through SAP for preventative/reactive maintenance on said machinery. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced industrial setting, prioritizes safety, and works cross-functionally with engineering and operations to enhance reliability and efficiency. This role offers strong overtime potential, long-term stability, and career growth within an innovative manufacturing environment. Additional day to day responsibilities are below:


Day-to-Day:
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on plant mechanical equipment
Rebuild and recondition rotating equipment to OEM standards
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and rounds
Fabricate and install piping systems
Interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records
Participate in safety audits, training, and emergency drills
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment reliability
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
Support plant-wide continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of maintenance experience in chemical or manufacturing environments
Strong experience with pumps and rotating equipment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills (CMMS, email, internet)


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Millwright experience
Exposure to water treatment or centrifuge systems
