Anesthesiologist (Critical Care Experience)

A community hospital in Moultrie, Georgia is hiring a full-time Anesthesiologist with critical care experience to join its anesthesia team. The team includes Anesthesiologists, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), and Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAs). The role supports a 7-suite OR, 2 endoscopy suites, and a 10-bed open ICU.

Schedule: 26 weeks on / 26 weeks off (typically 7 on / 7 off, unless otherwise agreed by the anesthesia team). Two anesthesiologists scheduled per shift, supervising CRNAs and AAs. Call required during weeks on, including critical care call and back-up for anesthesiologists on shift.

Compensation: $400,000 to $600,000 guaranteed salary, commensurate with experience

What You'll Do

Provide anesthesia care across 7 OR suites and 2 endoscopy suites, supervising CRNAs and AAs during scheduled shifts. Cover critical care call and provide back-up coverage for anesthesiologists on shift during weeks on. Partner with pulmonology and critical care physicians for daily rounds in a 10-bed open ICU (consult only). Use current anesthesia equipment including Mindray machines with ultrasounds, GlideScope for emergency airways, and Belmont rapid infusers. Precept medical students and residents as part of the academic teaching mission.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Critical care experience
• Active Georgia medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
