This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting our commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Lead, Train and mentor lab and quality personnel in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) practices, testing protocols, and continuous improvement tools. Lead the Quality Control Laboratory, overseeing analytical testing of raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished goods in accordance with industry regulations and internal standards. Oversee compliance with relevant chemical industry regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA); ensure readiness for internal and external audits, apply advanced Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to monitor, analyze, and improve production processes. Investigate and resolve customer complaints using root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions. Oversee Chesterfield Quality Systems, leading team to maintain and improve Quality Manual and System Level Procedures. Coordinate and lead external audits required to meet Food Grade, UL, KOSHER, HALA and other certifications. Responsible for product Certificate of Analysis, maintaining Product Specification database within Lab Management Program and SAP. Partner with the Nylon Commercial Team to facilitate Customer Surveys, Audits, and inquiries. Collaborate with Production, R&D, and EHS teams to support quality initiatives and process optimization. Develop and maintain quality documentation, control plans, and data reporting systems. Evaluate vendor quality performance and support raw material qualification processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science or engineering discipline. 5+ years in a quality role within the chemical or process manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, chemical testing methods, and SPC tools. Experience with customer complaint handling and CAPA systems in a regulated environment. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. Familiarity with ISO 9001, RC14001, and regulatory requirements related to chemical manufacturing. Preferred Professional certifications such as CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt. Experience with LIMS and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP). The expected base pay for this position is $118,800 - $178,200 We offer a range of market‑competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness.
