Litigation Paralegal (5+ yrs) - Los Angeles

Litigation Paralegal Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Los Angeles office. This position focuses on tort defense litigation, including transportation-related matters, personal injury claims, and property damage disputes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation paralegal who enjoys managing cases from inception through trial, working closely with attorneys and experts, and playing a critical role in complex defense litigation matters. Responsibilities Case Management Manage and maintain litigation files from initial intake through settlement, mediation, arbitration, or trial Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely responses and filings Assist attorneys with case strategy development and litigation support throughout all stages of a matter Discovery & Litigation Support Draft and prepare: Interrogatories Requests for Production Requests for Admission Subpoenas for depositions and document production Assist with drafting discovery responses, document productions, and privilege logs Organize, review, and manage large volumes of case documents Fact Investigation & Expert Coordination Conduct factual investigations, including social media and public records research Research, identify, and coordinate the retention of expert witnesses Prepare medical and factual chronologies Analyze records and summarize key information for attorneys Deposition & Hearing Preparation Prepare attorneys for depositions and hearings Organize deposition materials and exhibits Coordinate witness scheduling and case logistics Trial Preparation & Trial Support Prepare: Trial notebooks Exhibit lists Witness lists Trial subpoenas Mediation and arbitration binders Organize and manage physical and electronic trial exhibits Create and assist with trial presentations Coordinate witnesses and trial schedules Attend trials and provide on-site litigation support as needed Qualifications Minimum 5 years of civil litigation paralegal experience Experience supporting tort defense litigation matters Experience with: Personal injury litigation Transportation-related claims Property damage disputes Complex litigation matters Strong background in discovery management and trial preparation Experience retaining and coordinating expert witnesses Experience preparing medical chronologies Excellent organizational and project-management abilities Strong written communication and proofreading skills Ability to independently manage case responsibilities while working collaboratively with attorneys Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred State and federal court litigation experience Trial attendance and courtroom support experience Experience managing sophisticated defense litigation matters from inception through resolution Technical Skills Proficiency with: Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Adobe Acrobat Pro LexisNexis
