Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines that facilitate the efficient storage and retrieval of data across various platforms. You will work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure that our data infrastructure supports advanced analytics and model training initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database design, data warehousing, and proficiency in SQL, along with experience in cloud technologies such as Azure Data Lake.



Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable database solutions to support business needs.
• Develop and maintain data warehouses to ensure high availability and performance.
• Utilize SQL for querying and managing large datasets effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement ETL processes using tools like Talend to integrate data from various sources.
• Analyze existing data systems and recommend improvements or optimizations.
• Conduct model training using appropriate frameworks and tools to enhance predictive analytics capabilities.
• Work with big data technologies such as Spark for processing large volumes of data efficiently.
• Write clean, maintainable code in Java for data processing tasks.

Experience

• Proven experience in database design and management, particularly in relational databases.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL for database querying and manipulation.
• Familiarity with ETL tools, specifically Talend or similar platforms.
• Experience working with cloud-based storage solutions like Azure Data Lake is preferred.
• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Spark is a plus.
• background in model training processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
